Great Plains Regional Area:

White Water Rafting Trip 2008

When:  August 8-10th

Where:  Colorado (Arkansas River)

 We are planning on leaving Omaha Friday early morning, rafting all day on Saturday, and driving back on Sunday night.  A full day of rafting which is about 6.5 hours with class III and AV rapids.  Lunch will be provided.  Rafting will be $114 per person, camping will be about $25 per person.  Food and gas will depend on the amount of people that go.

South Dakota - Badlands, Wind Caves, Hot Sprints, Mt Rushmore

When:  August 29th - September 1st (Labor Day Weekend)

Where:  South Dakota Badlands

 Camping tip to South Dakota Badlands on Labor Day Weekend.  We will also be touring the Wind Caves, Mt Rushmore, and the Hot Springs.  Here is a little info on the Wild Cave Tour: http://www.nps.gov/wica/planyourvisit/placestogo.htm <http://www.nps.gov/wica/planyourvisit/placestogo.htm> .  Please let me know if you are planning on attending, we will have to make reservations for the cave tour and camping one month in advance.

Floating down the Niobrara

When:  Tentative date July 18-20 or 25-27

Where: Valentine, NE on the Niobrara River
